I know remakes are always hard but staying closer to the original would have benefited everyone involved. No one likes a cheap imitation of the original. To me it made fun of the original. The actors did the best they could Im sure with the material they were given.

Loved it! Miss Sir Elton John of course and it was less humorous. The jokes in the original would have lightened things up a bit. Loved the realism but to much of a variant from the original, no one wants to see as has been proven from past remakes.
