The opening sequence with the little boy revealing to his cousins Santa was not real sets the tone for what could have been a fantastic Christmas movie. Sadly this 5 minute sequence is the highlight of the movie. After this it decends into a chaotic, confused mess punctuated with marginally funny dialogue. Evan’s character delivers the only humor, while The Rock plays the same character we have seen in all of his past and recent pictures. The scenes on the beach make zero sense and whoever was in charge of the lighting should be fired immediately. I switched off long before the predictable outcome and watched Santa Claus the movie instead. Another complete failure by an uninspired Hollywood, that simply cannot make any credible or original movies anylonger. If I had paid to watch this drivel at the movie theatre I would have felt robbed. Not worth the single star I gave it.
