An Indispensable Resource for both New and Seasoned Entrepreneurs
Insightful and practical for the new entrepreneurs. Relatable yet refreshing for seasoned business owners.
“The Fast Founder” by Eric Lam breaks down the complexities of starting a new venture and building it towards an exit in 36 months. The ideas, concepts and strategies shared come from his personal journey and experiences, hence, giving authenticity to what is shared. I, personally, enjoyed reading the personal anecdotes drawn from his own experiences as an entrepreneur as well as mentor to start-ups. What is in plan sight to many of us (particularly, novice founders or perhaps, those deeply entrenched in their own business domains), can have a whole different perspective and outlook when dissected through Eric’s views of businesses.
Eric’s ability to explain the intricacies of an entrepreneurial journey in a clear and engaging manner makes this book a joy to read. The advice given were not lofty, unattainable theories but rather, the book provides actionable insights. I find the ideas and concepts are not overwhelming to grasp but instead they are gradually introduced through practical steps that can be followed through in any business by the reader. The book is a thorough guide that covers the strategies to create, grow and finally exit a venture in 36 months. Why 36 months? Read this book and you will be convinced; I was.
Even after completing this book, I am sure I would find myself taking this book off my bookshelf every now and then to look at the ideas and strategies again. An indispensable resource and definite read for those with entrepreneurial aspirations
