The Social Dilemma sheds light to the ethics of unbridled technology. It shows how technology can connect us, and yet divide us. It brings clarity to how heavily it influences the way we think, act, and interact. It gives a concerning perspective to our vulnerability in subscribing into systems designed to inevitably lead us to the path of extinction. We must not surrender our humanity to technology. If technology is going to be a part of our lives—a part of us for the rest of our journey as a species, we must see to it that we are in control. We have to engrave to our minds to be fully aware of the consequences of taking technology for granted. We should only take part in technology, not be a part of it, and it should be a conscious decision that each and every one of us must make for ourselves. “With power comes great responsibility.” – Uncle Ben (This is a reaction paper my professor had us do.
