I love military based films, and was captivated for about the first 40 minutes. The story line was something most feel is an absolute possibility in today’s climate. A nuclear war! The US is attacked and we have no idea which country or countries is responsible. A missle is on the way and we weren’t able to intercept and stop it, so impact is counted down. So you’re on the edge of your seat, and when impact is supposed to take place, a title surfaces the screen goes black, and we meet a new cast and the story is retold from a different groups perspective. You feel thrown off but then invested again because we see how the characters we could hear via the phone calls and FaceTime are actually impacted first hand. Then, after getting to the edge of our seat again, a new title appears and the you feel like…..this is bullshit! What is going on? Again, we are force fed a 3rd unexpected viewpoint, at this point your pretty pissed and just want to see the impact, the result, how the Potus handled it etc…,,Instead the secretary of defense decides to self cancel and not long after it just abruptly ends, no explanation, no moment of clarity just an absolute resolve of feeling like you wasted your time. I loved it at first, and now feel like I wasted my time! Feels like we were strung along and pranked ðŸ˜! If they just gave even a glimpse of aftermath or the presidents decision it could have been a great cliff hanger now I don’t even trust investing my time in a part 2 if there is one down the road. INFURIATING is my ending sentiment to say the least. 🙄Ugh I can’t even imagine thinking writing such a good story with no closure would be pleasing to anyone, literally frustrating. Maybe others enjoy going home and wondering what could have transpired, again I however feel betrayed and strung along.
