Yet another disappointing film from M Night Shayalaman. He always seems to stop shy of turning a mediocre film into a good film. The idea is a good one, however, it's wasted here. There is no background as to why The Butcher is the butcher, there's zero suspense and the acting ( especially the singer) is tv movie standard at best. Far too much time spent showing the concert and , overall pretty unbelievable. I actually laughed out loud in some places You will forget all about this film by the time you've walked back to your car!

If I could have given zero stars I would of. Terrible film, dull,boring, definitely not scary. Badly acted, no plot, no character building, no point! Looked like a college media studies project, filmed over a weekend with a £500 budget. Those who say it's terrifying and justify its awfulness by saying its " arty", are, basically delude Worse film of the year, so far. Don't waste your time or money.
