While it is an obviously well researched book, the "white lens" informed by bias filters throughout the book and was particularly evident in the chapter on Zimbabwe. No talk of the sactions on Zimbabwe by the "kith and kin" of the white settlers and the impact it had on Zimbabwe. Rather, the blame is placed on the "buffoon" Mugabe, Mbeki and the AU..There is also the disdain for African solutions to African problems that occasionally appears in an attempt to claim the impossibility of such claim. Indeed, the book is intended for white consumption
