I just waited three days for the streaming issues to be solved before writing a review.
This is the best in the series by far. I won't go into details about the improvements in the scenery, performance, airplanes, etc. There are also some inconsistencies with the maps for certain airports (as always), some mission objectives may fail without good reason, and there are a few glitches here and there. However, I'll stick to the one thing that I always thought the Flight Simulator series lacked: engagement.
Sure, you were always able to plan a flight between any two airports, have some limited challenges in FL2020, and do some training on a few things, but the concept was always that you are an enthusiast, you'd read around and find out how to play it. This time around, though, you are getting proper guidance. The career path trains and tests you. You have missions to do to gather experience and credits, which are translated to flying hours of actual sim experience. This can finally keep the more casual users engaged and constantly learning, without using forums to figure out how to do things properly. Here you are taught, and you are graded. Finally, Flight Simulator is now an actual game, while gaining more precision and more realism.
This game is truly an amazing accomplishment overall.
