I love this movie! So much! But, what I’m really going to talk about, is that the websites that talk about the Matrix, make the movie out to being scarier than it actually is. Like “an icky bug that enters the hero’s body through his belly button” Just because a movie is rated “R” doesn’t mean that it is because it is scary. Mostly it is because of language, explicit scenes, etc… My dad had told me that, some rated “R” movies are rated that because they are over the heads of younger children. They wouldn’t be able to understand it without asking “20 questions”, (a line from the movie). So, if you want to watch it, I would suggest children over 11 could handle it. My sister can. And The Matrix doesn’t even have a “Horror” tag under it. I have watched Sleepy Hollow (1999) with Johnny Depp, and it turns out that Sleepy Hollow is way more scary than The Matrix. Even my younger sister agrees with me. (She doesn’t really like that type of movie) So, if you want to watch it, DO! IT IS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE! anyway, The Matrix is known for its visual effects, not the scary parts. If you want to cover your eyes on a scene (like how I did) don’t be ashamed! Don’t let your fear take over! Enjoy one of the greatest movies of all time!
