When you read or watch Lord of the Rings you do so for the lore and the story. You do so to escape from your world and be immersed in Tolkien's. It really feels like the creators of the Rings of Power only watched the original stuff in a quick fast forwarded breeze through of the series and they think they know it. They missed so much... I get wanting to include a more diverse cast and I am all for it, however do it within the lore don't just put a black character in every race so you can have inclusion because that is not diversity that is just agenda. The races of Middle Earth are symbolic for who they represent: Dwarfs are symbolic of Jews for example. Elves are meant to be fair skinned, it does not make sense for a black elf. Have black men which would make sense take up lead roles that would work much better without creating such dividing lines between those that are new to the series and those that actually know the lore, a black elf is just an obvious attempt at pushing agenda. Tolkien was also known for his linguistic genius he brought through his world. So far everyone in the movie has spoken the same language without much effort into having dwarves speak in dwarven or elves speak elvish. I feel that is very lazy when you have entirely complete languages to draw from. If you are going to make a series off such a fully realized world you should do your homework and incorporate it. Overall this series is a lazily put together agenda pushing attempt at creating a piece of Tolkien's world. If you ignore everything Tolkien and look at it as just a fantasy movie you can enjoy it, but if you look at what it could and should be you will be greatly disappointed.

This game is just a reboot to Age of Empires 2, with similar style graphics. The fact that after such a long time has passed since Age of Empires 3 this game should look and feel amazing, yet it feels like it was made 10 years prior to Age of Empires 3. It felt 100% lack luster, just like a rewashed repeat of what we already have. Even the historical figures that they portray are just borrowed from Age of Empires 2. Can you complain about a company plagiarizing their own content and trying to sell it off as new? Because that is what this feels like. Do not buy this game, let them know you want a true Age of Empires 4, not Age of Empires 2.1
