I just watched this film for probably the 10th time over the past 30 years. It never fails to move me and impress me with the acting, the cinematography and the incredible story.

I was wrong…now I love The View and even Allyssa Farah Griffin. I just started watching about eight months ago. Never watched before and thought it a joke. Instead, I applaud these women, their honesty and necessary voice. I usually only watch the first 15 minutes unless their guest is a politician. I find it interesting the negative reviewers are obviously brainwashed Foxers but they still watch. The truly most honest 15 minutes of television on the air.

Complex, poetic, nuanced. Brilliantly filmed and acted and simply the best series I’ve watched in years. The antithesis of any and everything produced on American network television.

I loved this series the first time I watched it and just finished watching it again. Melodrama, yes. But also gives weight to so many important issues we are still grappling with today in the U.S. and around the world. Women’s rights, abortion rights, workers rights, income equality, race discrimination, equal justice under the law, LBGTQ rights to name a few. All the important issues and rights the Republican Party is determined to strip from us.

I can’t get past Judy’s atrocious drawn on eyebrows and the ridiculous age difference of the stars. I don’t understand why the film keeps receiving a higher and higher ranking by the AFI. The color in the film is also distractingly bad and the premise is cringe worthy.

Just finished binging on this incredibly wonderful series. Loved every talent filled minute. “Mamacita” and her relationship with Joan Crawford was particularly moving.

Each of Louise Penny’s books is a treasure. They are cerebral, detailed and intensely character driven. The mystery being solved is almost secondary to the characters and settings. The mind creates such vivid images of Three Pines that no movie set could ever hope to duplicate. That being said, I’m amazed I enjoyed the series as much as I did. Alfred Molina is exceptional as Gamache, though nothing like I imagined him. Jean-Guy a big disappointment. My husband enjoyed the series after years of me praising each new book. For those who don’t read, this series is wonderful. Those of us who are huge fans of the books must accept that transferring the cerebral to the screen is a difficult task.

This is my favorite film adaption and one of my favorite films of all time. I rewatch it every two or three years and never cease to be thoroughly entertained. The tension and chemistry between Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen is extraordinary, the supporting characters are wonderful and the cinematography magnificent. I just finished watching it today in order to get the stench of Succession’s Tom Wambsgans out of my psyche (another brilliant Macfadyen role as was Stonehouse).

All I could think about was Harvey goes to jail for 30 years but 75 million Americans voted for trump in 2020 and the Republican Party can’t wait to nominate him again. A predatory movie producer is horrible. But a predatory, criminal, traitorous President of the United States of America is a world wide disaster.
