The sets are fabulous, the rest is horrible. Acting is mid, storyline is very very bad, it doesn’t even make sense. Firstly it’s about tawaifs and a girl who is trying to escape the tawaif and become a poet/writer, then it transitions into a love story, then a rivalry between two woman, then out of nowhere into a fight for freedom and independence? What kind of nonsense is that? And the director doesn’t even smoothly transition this story, it feels like I’m watching a show made by a low budget unskilled director who has been given beautiful sets to work on. This was a complete waste of time and I don’t recommend you watch this.

I was bored on a Sunday afternoon and I was searching for good short shows on Netflix, I browsed through some and I looked at their reviews here on google, all of them were bad expect this one, it had a 4.4 so I thought I’d watch it. I imagined it to be a romantic, erotic story of a woman and her boss, as I had only read the overviews, but this thing is something else! It is just so beautiful, so elegantly played out, so eloquent and mysterious, the flow of this show is magical, hours felt like minutes watching this. The acting is absolutely phenomenal 10/10. It is Sunday evening now and I don’t think I’ll ever get over this amazing show! The twists are insane!! This is in my list for the greatest shows I’ve ever watched. Trust me, watch this.
