Can't get enough of this movie. It tugs strongly at my heartstrings as the story has parallels to mine. I was married to my high school sweetheart and coincidentally found this movie on the 8th year after I lost him. The casting is PHENOMENAL!!! Alex Roe is a British actor who speaks proper English yet sounded nothing like it talking and singing in this movie. He learned the southern accent, how to sing (never sang in public before) and play the guitar (including strumming like a country artist) to give credence to this role. FASCINATING!!! The chemistry between him and Jessica Rothe is PALPABLE!!! Apparently they had pre production outings to develop this and the result is AMAZING!!! This is a MUST SEE!!! It's an old fashioned story of love, forgiveness, and redemption with small town vibe, traditional values, great music (4 songs performed by Alex himself), and the best part: HAPPY ENDING. Wish I saw it on the big screen.
