Iโve really enjoyed watching this so far. The acting is strong and the story is deeply harrowing. At times itโs been a bit slow and too much in Italian, especially during the court scenes. But I thought episode 6 was done well and was my favourite so far.
The people leaving poor reviews and dismissing Amanda as a victim seem to lack both empathy and critical thinking. Amanda doesnโt โhave a storyโ because of Meredith, she has one because she was wrongly convicted and imprisoned.
Itโs baffling that anyone could review the evidence in this case and still buy into the fantasy spun by a delusional prosecutor with a track record of miscarriages of justice. The real suspect was identified long ago, yet he remains free and has since been charged with further violent crimes, crimes made possible because he wasnโt properly held accountable the first time.
This series sheds light on a tragic case that was fueled less by truth and more by obsession, prejudice, and the need for a sensational story. If you see it differently, itโs not because of the facts, itโs because youโve been drinking the Kool-Aid of sensationalist media
