Utter rubbish - Slasher movie dressed up as art. One star because, to be fair, it looked nice, but it won't get me my 2 hours plus back.
Spoilers - Dumb characters go to a remote commune in Sweden, see something bad and then act like idiots. The movie's direction and foreshadowing is so heavy handed that any observant viewer will guess what's going to happen way before the movie gets there. The whole plot (such as it is) is painted on the inside of the commune's dormitory and our protagonists are so stupid they don't pick up on it. I'm sure the director and writers thought they were being cute but someone with some sense should have told them that viewers aren't stupid. There's no character development, the characters are all horrible, the plot could have been completed in half an hour by better writers.
People are going to argue that it's art, that the daylight setting somehow brings a new angle to the horror genre, that's it's about the break-up, those things are all there, however, the film bores before attempting to raise tension, the horror such as it is only serves to show how stupid the protagonists are, the daylight just reveals how thin the plot is. (Murder She Wrote has better plotting than this!)
By the end I was hoping the cult had killed the director too. Please don't make another movie.
Terrible film, don't waste your money or time.
