We have been watching a bunch of Nordic Noir shows, and this is the best one of the lot, at least so far. The difference with this show is the complexity and pacing of the plot. The reviewers who say this series is slow are so far off base. For Nordic Noir, this is a thrill ride...lots of plot lines and drama. A complaint I have about many of these shows is that they are slow - I think in an effort to be atmospheric. Trapped doesn't have a lot of action in the conventional U.S. police show sense, but it moves. There are no long tracking shots of cars driving on rural highways, for example - a staple of Nordic Noir. No slo mo snow shots, either. This show is all plot, acting, and direction that serves the plot and acting. It's like reading a good novel.
