The great Nina Simone portrayed within the micro interior of the lowest moments in her life; a life that left cruel and deep scars for more than obvious reasons. This movie would only serve to wound and deepen her scars if she were alive to watch it. We don't need to sugar coat someone's life but Nina was much, much more than this movie portrayed. Love and blessings to Nina, may she be forever remembered for her activism, her strength and for a gifted talent that only the divine could bestow. xo
