Really good debut. Rough in some spots, but that is what makes it so good. The bass and guitar are really out front. The leads are no Schenker, but Bolton pushes his instrument through some tasty runs. His tone is a ten. Excellant for a first time band.

This is really a splendid about. Nothing like his first two solo albums. The guitar work is heavier and slashing. Shame the records exec's wouldn't let it come out when he first made it. Would have possibly made a difference with his career.

Intense at times, very quiet and subtle at others. McLaughlin plays more as a role player. He allows the other mucisians to shine at times. Have to listen and let it grow on you.
