This show is a hidden gem! I absolutely loved it for so many different reasons. The narrative is pure poetry, offering an amusing and heartfelt glimpse to a less glamorous side of the culinary arts of Japan. The flashbacks to the 50s reveal touching background stories, and the imaginary flashbacks to the Samurai era are absolute genius! I'm so sorry this show was not renewed for many more seasons, I would have been eager to watch them all!
