CCV puts Mani Ratnam back in the game. There are not many who can direct a multi starrer where every character is nuanced and allows one to steal the screen space from the other. The story is about a gangster family and how greed tears them apart. Jyotika's plays her role perfectly as a strong, supportive yet independent wife. Aravind, Arun, Simbhu and Vijay shine in their roles. From being strong to being vulnerable, they showcase everything with ease. The background music, cinematography and screenplay elevate the movie.
