It's very good and everyone should read it. I've had many copies of Puckoon. They get borrowed and never returned.

This is a very fine novel. However I would not describe it as "hilarious" (Times) nor even "humorous" (Heat). Some of the characters do have their lighter moments but overall it's a rather sad tale. Expect a very good read but don't expect many laughs.

I found parts of it wonderful and other parts somewhat boring. Certainly I have vivid memories of it though I have not read it for several years. On the whole wonderful, I think.
