I love the vibe from the drama, it’s just very calm but intense in a way. But what irritate me was how childish and spoil the female lead was, she kept pushing and pulling him away, she had so many chances to change things and tell him how she felt. Instead she would push him away and then regret it! I just hated how she repeatedly does it, and hurt him every time. But that’s why I stop hating her in part 2 because of her character development, she became more wiser, mature, and braver. The portray of the character was absolutely amazing!
At one point I thought I’ll be better if the male lead just get together with the princess, but the again the chemistry between the main leads is insane. There’s not a lot of kiss scene, yet, when there was one, it was super intense and amazing! I was hook on how their relationship would end up, and how charming the male lead was. I like the fact that they went through so much ,yet , they still think and care about one another despite the barrier of distance, marriage, war, family, differences and flaws. It’s just shown how unconditional their love was. The scene where she tells him that she had been taken advantage of by the invader and he just asked if he can give her a hug, because it wasn’t her fault. Even though it’s just a scene, but it was seem as a shame back then, the main lead still loves her for her and not judgement of her flaws (my standards had never been so high lol). I was scared that it’ll end up being a k-trauma instead of k-drama but I’m grad they ended up happily together!
Overall I think it was a emotional roller coaster but in a good way! I just wish the drama weren’t stretch this long because some part just felt unnecessarily because it’s just feel like drag on and on. But the portray character and the acting was what kept me hook! Although I didn’t like how it drag on but I definitely wanted to watch more and more of the main leads.I still think this is a masterpiece despite it’s flaws! It brought me many cried and laughed, I hope it’ll get more recognition!
