The actors did an amazing job! Pallavi Joshi had a very difficult role to play but she surprised us all. The movie does great justice to victims of Bengal violence, of both present and past times. No wonder momta doesn't want the movie to be shown in WB. The history taught to children about the Independence of India is nothing but whitewashing of the sins of the congress and the peacefuls. We had a partition in 1947 due to communal violence and that didn't even solve the problem because we decided to be secular. The past and the present scenarios is connected very well in movie. We need more such realistic and blunt cinema in this country. Unless we learn to have an honest conversation about what happened and what is happening in the country, we are indeed doomed.

I swear I don't understand why was this book written. She's not imparting any wisdom nor is she a good writer. She juat seems like a typical dumb American to me who doesn't understand the basics of life and thought she had to write about her great "epiphanies". I really cannot expect much from a person who idolizes,writes a book on a man like Churchill who was cruel and literally responsible for killing millions of Indians in one of the most sadist ways by causing Briitsh made famines while sending the foodgrains and wealth to Britain from India. She obviously comes from a privileged background,rolling in money, no personal crisis and thus couldn't understand how people tend to stay happy eg everyone knows friends make you happy, spending money wisely is a good habit, you are supposed to not hoard stuff, not be mean.....etc etc. It's written in a horribly, childish way and I cannnot fathom why are people reading this book!
