Honestly don't know what just hit me. Like, on one hand I liked the characters and the acting but on the other hand it was a bit too unrealistic e.g. SPOILERS: Why did she even open the door and then kill the son after he r*ped her? If she was going to change her face and disappear, she could have done that without letting him in her house?
And that granny was just a ridiculous, psychotic villain who was convinced that she was walking the righteous path. How was she passed out and underwater but woke up and had enough strength and oxygen in her lungs to escape a submerged car 😠Then let's not mention the end when she gets knocked out and wakes up in record time to stab the mother?? And then gets knocked out again but comes out brandishing a shotgun with perfect aim and time to kill mask girl?
I am honestly so annoyed because I was hoping that the script would have been salvaged with some good writing and a plot twist where she learns that the daughter of her enemy is actually her granddaughter.
Like, why even make that a thing when it's never used in the plot?!
It annoyed me to no end that they used the typical tv tropes of miscommunication. Why didn't mask girl tell her about her daughter being her granddaughter? I can't say how it irked me that the granny kept praising her dead son who was honestly a piece of perverted, disgusting trash who committed aggravated sexual assault and murder and this was never touched on because he was just a loser who couldn't get a girlfriend boohoo. And worst yet, she didn't even treat her son well and contributed to the trash he became by constantly putting him down, comparing him to other people's sons and not even remembering his birthday yet calling on his birthday to talk about how incompetent he is ðŸ˜
Now he's dead and obviously killed a man yet she's acting like he's a saint and everything gets pinned on mask girl.
I feel bad for mask girl because she lived such a horrible life. She had a bad mother that contributed to her low self esteem and disowned her. I couldn't help but think of how unrealistic her relationship with her mother was. She had talent but just wasn't very pretty. I've seen so many kdramas where the mother in that instance would have taken her for plastic surgery for her to become a celebrity. Yet no. Instead, pile on the misery for our protagonist until she dies. I was hoping that at least while in prison, she would have written a memoir of the truth for her daughter. But no. That poor child will never know the truth and next to the audience, she is the victim of this... Idek what to call this.
All that aside, I must say that I loved the scene in prison where she kept going to solitary confinement and every time she got out she went hunting for her bully lol. That was so well done and the actress did an excellent job.
