Very funny and surprisingly philosophical. The actors are talented and gorgeous, and the sets are incredible. At the end of the day, it is a silly movie about mass produced plastic dolls, but the messages resonate for everyone. For anyone with critical thinking ability, it's a great conversation starter. For all the people saying it's anti-men and the kens lack "t" or that the movie is pushing some kind of "men are stupid" attitude, I think this dynamic is supposed to be satirical; demonstrating the dichotomy that has at some points in our history been a norm that women in our society have been regarded as merely trophy wives and seen as "less than" and in the end, it implores us to challenge those ideas for BOTH men and women which was very obvious to me when I watched it. Real life is not so black and white, but for the purpose of the film I think the message was well executed. Also, did someone forget they are supposed to be DOLLS? If you are so terrified of toys with feminine energy please watch the G.I. Joe movie or Transformers.
