Dunki was rather a roller-coaster of laughter and tears; more laughter, though. A soldier who is strong on principal of truth and willingness to help others--meets three people who are rather poor and dull(in English language), but have dream to go to London to earn in pounds in order to overcome their poverty. All good intentions, but the immigration doesn't work by emotions. You got to have two things; money and education. After losing money with a fraudulent agent, and a fellow classmate's life, Shahukh promises them to send them to London at any cost, even if it requires 'dunki'. Dunki means using illegal ways to cross boarder; it's highly risky and has very less chances--the four(including Shahrukh) along with three other people chose dunki and gets on their way. Some extremely hard times, hurdles and deaths, they finally make it to England and eventually to London where one of them is already settled(kind of), but shocks others when they learn about his work. Basically, begging money by being statue. Shahukh doesn't like London. It's like they don't exist for the government of England, and involved doing the shitty work. His separation comes from choosing between London(by telling a lie about his India) and the girl he's fallen in love. In the end, the girl choses London over him... and Shrahukh is deported bank to India. Rest of them are granted asylum. Many years passed, and now these three London-stooges dream of going back to Indian, however, India refuses them the visa. The pain of not being able to going back to home leaves them unhappy until the girl reconnects with Shahukh and asks him to get them to India. Rest I will leave for you to watch and discover. Really emotional and funny movie. As an immigrant myself who came on student visa and then made Canada permanent home, I could relate to many scenes. It will open your heart with tears and joy--and some big laughter. A must watch! The king of Bollywood has yet again produced a finest movie!

Dunki

If you're looking to learn how to land a job after graduating, or even without formal education, then this is the lesson for you. Jake was so great. Now, I know why he's considered one of the greatest actors. In this movie, the way he stares, observes and quickly adapts to his new job/skill is worth appreciating. Creepy, but worth appreciating. You'll learn: how to negotiate, how far should you go to get that job, what should you do to impress the interviewer etc., I really loved it!

Mirror, mirror on the wall... I purchased the movie even though I had watched it all. That's the magic of the mirror and this movie; I couldn't resist but add it to my collection. Especially, the scene reminiscent to J'dore. Gold compliments Queen Ravenna; she's even more stunning and cunning than she was in the previous movie. Ravenna's dark-heart and evil-soul doesn't even spare her own blood(sister Freya), and so there shall be NO LOVE in Freya's Iced-Kingdom. But, can you stop someone from falling in love? Their battle against LOVE eventually leads to a surprising turn, find out if love wins this battle. Action packed. Magical. Imaginative. Visually Striking with Beautiful Shooting Locations.

Some movies you just can't forget. I must have watched this one hundred times, but it still never gets old. Maa (mother) is a movie that will suck the dead soul, conscious out of your body. It's a story of a mother who is dead, but yet stuck between the two worlds due to her body still not being cremated. According to Hinduism, the soul remains in this world if it the deceased person's body is not properly cremated. A movie that will make you cry over and over again. A must watch! :)
