This book throws light on the lesser spoken era of the 17th 18th and the 19th century India, a lawless land where greed triumphed. Unfortunately, in our Indian schools we are not exposed to this history where the rulers are not heroes but flawed villians. The strategic sheilding of information has led to toxic patriotism without a clear perspective. I urge all Indians who wish not be blinded by agendas to read this book and then make up their minds about the current state of Indian politics and governance. I love how the author manages to expose an impartial truth with impeccable research. It is truly eye opening and a phenomenal read!
