I hated this. I watched one episode and wish I hadn't wasted my time. Indebted is the worst performance I've ever seen from the main cast actors paired with the worst attempt at a comedy script ever to air on network TV. The children are more convincing actors in 2 lines than all 4 adults in the entire pilot episode, combined. The pilot made me angry and uncomfortable at the point that the parents posted a nude video of their daughter-in-law to social media, but I was downright infuriated when the DIL was expected to let it slide and forgive them because they said they love her. Saying something nice about someone does not negate violating their privacy and abusing them for money. For the writers to include such a twisted abuser-victim relationship in what is meant to be a lighthearted sitcom is just gross. In real life, that video would be considered distribution of pornography, especially as the video is bringing in money. Family sitcom? Just, no. Trauma trigger for victims of abusive parents? Definitely.
