Long, slow build of tension that doesn’t really payoff in a way that warrants 2 hours. Could have told that story in 10 minutes. They’re gay, they’re not gay, one is going to kill the other, revenge of the nerd, who cares. Cumberbatch Oscar campaign ate the movie. Good cinematography and period detail, boring story full of cliche pseudo-conflicts.
