I had high expectations, Studio Ponoc creates a morbid expression of childhood experiences. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone under the age of 15, or to people with trauma/PTSD. I enjoyed the first half of the movie, but then I felt extremely uncomfortable onwards. I feel that things couldve been expressed in a different way, and I do understand that it was based off a book but I personally feel that this was a risky move for Studio Ponoc.
