After watching the movie several times with my daughter, and still cannot figure out what everyone sees in this film.
Its characters experience zero personal growth preventing the audience from identifying or caring with them. This makes most of the character team ups seem forced and the dialogue is mostly plot exposition or awkward "comedic" exchanges.
The plot was very predictable due to the heavy reliance on tropes including a scene with a very illogical self sacrifice that seemed shoehorned into the movie to create an incinsere heart string tug.
All and all I would stay away from this stinker, but I suppose it would be an alright movie to subdue the kids. That seems to be what Hollywood thinks we want out of kids movies anyway
