The book is heartbreaking.. perfectly portrayed the lives and struggle of the Afghan women and the crisis that war brought under the Taliban invasion. The story of Mariam and Laila totally broke me. Life totally was unfair to them, brought them to the edge of inhuman torture, but it was a happy ending..I will definitely recommend..

It’s definitely five stars. Such a powerful story telling. I enjoyed every bit of it. The dead of Liesel though foretold by the author surprisingly it doesn’t spoil the Story. I loved reading from the beginning to the end. What I loved most is the beautiful relationship of Liesel and her dad. It touched me.
