I only read a few sections of this book in Chinese version. The most impressive part was the detailed description of humans' perceptions.....The most touching/impressive part was the description of the sense connection of " Madeleine cookies in milk, with a strange and unique taste and smell" to childhood memories---leading to opening of the author's childhood memory Gate. When I typed down these words, I was alone, away from my own mother who is definitely a GREAT woman who raised me with all her effort and Love. Although She is now in China, far far away from me, I no longer feel lonely------because all those books I enjoyed in my own childhood Nurtured me with an ENRICHED mind.
