An excellent well written book, however a map of the area mentioned where most of the events take place would not have gone amiss. That said,Mr Galbraith seems to be improving with every book. I have read this book three times now,enjoying it more and more each time.

Face to face with the close knit world of the British upper class, this book comes off as a bit of a damp squib to non Britishers. It's difficult to comprehend the culpability of a government minister for a stolen set of gallows,especially to readers in the Indian subcontinent. That said,it's a well written taut book but appealing mainly to people from the British Isles.
