Kabir Singh is the love story of an academically talented young surgeon who falls for his junior Preeti. The trailers will convince you that KS is all about drugs, alcohol and one night stands stemming from a heartbreak but it's only the partial truth. Senior - Junior relationships occur in plenty in college where freshers, societies and fests serve as socialising platforms but Kabir Singh in a typical bollywood way approaches Preeti straight up in her class and offers personal lessons instead of attending the class. Preeti is so naive that she simply complies, a rarity in today's world. KS will always be compared to Arjun Reddy(the original inspiration) and though Shahid Kapoor as a casting choice is perfect, he is not able to emulate how Vijay Devrakonda does justice to his character. Kapoor is more of a narcissistic, career driven and having detrimental health issues, whereas Vijay was self destructive yet a vulnerable narcissist. No stars for Kiara's expressionless acting, Kapoor does well but still not upto the mark. Overall the film is a good watch, with powerful soundtrack from Sachet Tandon encapsulating the vibe of the movie, but as usual Bollywood only does a so so job in acting.

Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House

Mark Felt is a true story of a bureaucrat who single handedly takes on the White House to preserve the prestige of FBI. Liam Neeson does a splendid job of portraying Felt who was a lanky old fellow with grey hair, and old school in his beliefs. It's a thrilling watch if you are interested in political documentaries. Spoiler : The film deserves a rather serious music score to complement the underlying tension in one of the biggest US constitutional crisis of 20th century. And could do a better job at describing more of sequence of events in 1972

This show will naturally draw comparisons to the popular Kota Factory, but do not mistake to judge it accordingly, It hooks you initially by narrating as many as 5 different storylines interwoven around the main narrative of competing students, which looks nice at first but gets dragged on later as having little or no relevance to the main story part. It IT is simply not possible for a majority of students to have such a vibrant coaching life which is why it is not a very relatable story. Anu Kapoor stands out in portraying a coaching institute meglomaniac with his twisted games and extraordinary ambitions.
