This movie is about life.
About how to learn to love the world, and more importantly love yourself. You go from one extreme to another, try different plots. It is an extreme format of art to make the same day repeat. In reality, is it all that different? You find excitement in different women, realize that doesn’t make you happy. You thought you found the one, but pursued her like an object, almost “got” her but could never even though you seemed to have done everything right. You stumble through life. Learned everything you can. In the end, the answer is to enjoy yourself, love the people around you, help people because you want to not because you can or should, and learn to play piano because you are curious - all the best qualities in humanity! In the end, when you’re truly enjoying where you are at, you “get” her unexpectedly. And everything falls into the right place. Did anything really change? Not at all. Same exact town, people, restaurants, same everything. The only thing that’s change is you. Such a great, powerful movie. It is about believing in the good in people. Warms my heart!
