Great casting! In some scenes I felt as though Lily was over acting, but overall really good acting from everyone; especially the male lead, (idk his name). The costumes and surrounding set made it very believable; as if it was genuinely filmed in the time period. The picture and directing regarding scenes, props, angles and scenery was chefs kiss. The change from color to black and white/grey scale was such a nice touch. Although I enjoyed it, and would definitely watch the film again, I think it was severely over-hyped. The director really built suspense over the face reveal of Nosferatu, & when he appears fully, it was a bit underwhelming. There were a few good jump scares but nothing really had me clinging to my seat or authenticity afraid. There is a pretty good jump scare in the very beginning that got me. Aside from a few scary moments, there was a lot of build up, but in the end is was flirting with being anticlimactic. There was also a TON of nudity and a pretty raw sex scene. I feel as though the studio was like, " Listen, sex sells, more tits now". The sex scene was appropriate, raw, scary; and coincided with the story appropriately, but the film has an overall sexual feel to it. The overdone nudity took away from some of the scenes and was just unnecessary in my opinion. Definitely worth a watch, it's just not the scariest film you will ever see.
