Series one was AMAZING. Beautifully written, acted and filmed. It was compared to the first season of Broadchurch, and with good reason. Watching some of Britain's best actors in a tense mystery story is always going to be good.
Sadly, like Broadchurch, they just had to try and wring a second series out of it and this is where it all went wrong. But where Broadchurch Parts 2 and 3 were only slightly muddled and dull, Keeping Faith falls entirely off the rails in the second series.
Yes, you still have Eve Myles acting her heart out, which is great, but the story line is complete nonsense and the writing has lost everything that made the first series so good.
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if the writer had simply handed the task of writing season two to Chat GPT and gone to the pub while it printed out. The result is a vague and half hearted script and a finished production full of lazy plot lines all flapping in the breeze.
I avoided series 3.
