Ok, I am a huge A7x fan but this album is disappointing, especially after the travesty that was The Stage. I agree with the reviews that say this album sounds similar to Pink Floyd, which is my problem with it. If I wanted to listen to Pink Floyd, I would. I listen to A7x for the modern power metal vibes and the intense riffs and hooks, none of which is evident on this new album. At least not in any significant way. While I can appreciate making a few albums that are more experimental, I would say that making the music the fans actually WANT is also important for the life of the band and the brand that is A7x. Also, I hope Matt is doing OK because his vocals were hella off for this whole album. Not as clean and crisp as he usually is.
