Chuck Pretti

An incredibly written and acted show about the food business and the people behind it. The writers find time to develop each character with skill and occasional humor. The intensely emotional scenes are believable and remarkable. This is a highly entertaining and insightful series. Its high quality and often frenetic pace makes it addictive.

Adam Sandler is excellent however the movie itself is incredibly dark, painfully intense, and awkward to watch. This is dark entertainment at best with few moments of sensibility and a main character whose awkwardness makes the viewer want to hide at times. Reviewers might like the cinematic quality of this film but the average viewer has trouble seeing the redeeming quality in both the subject matter and emotional strains one has to endure in watching this movie.
