This game is very simple by design, but it gets more and more complex the more you play the game. The learning curve for both survivor and killer is deeper than initially presented by the tutorials, especially killer. The game is very grind-heavy however. If you are just beginning this game, I would recommend playing for a week or two to see if you enjoy this type of game before investing in DLC. To get a good "build" on your survivor or killer can take quite a while, and a lot of the perks are locked behind the fact you have to buy the characters associated with those perks. You can earn points to buy these characters for free, but there are also characters that are licensed, like Michael Myers or Freddy Kreuger that must be bought using real money. After you unlock these characters, then you must use in-game currency to unlock the perks and items you wish to use. Having good perks is a must once you rise in the ranks and start facing more skilled players as these perks will give you momentary advantages when you need them. I was given this game for free on Playstation and have logged over 2000 hours. It is one of my most favourite games of all time.
