Best pokemon game to date. It was the first one I really decided to finish as a kid when all I cared about were mindless shooters. Since it was my first it took me months to finish, but I remember everything about it so fondly. It was challenging, expansive, the story was great, and the fact it wasnt over after beating the Elite Four was probably the most pleasant surprise Ive ever had in any form of media. What a masterpiece of a game. I wish I could relive experiencing it all for the first time and talking about it nonstop with other classmates in my school while holding a pokewalker with me.
