Thoroughly depressing. It is clear that there is nothing we can do. We are beyond the tipping point. Since the 1950s we have fouled the earth so badly that we will never be able to remove the plastic waste. Even if we stopped using these plastic products now we will not be able to clear up the waste already in the environment. But there is no desire to stop using plastic wrapping. The food producers couldn't do and don't want to do it and people in general don't care or don't believe there is a problem.
