Just finished up seeing Umbeliebable, thought it was an incredible show.
The performances were all top-notch and the story content was like the movie says unbelievable. I read a lot of background on it, and the TV series was very realistic and held up to the actual story. but my question and I donโt know what the answer is when they discovered Mari they were so shocked and surprised. It was obvious that the police department dropped the ball. I could not believe that they did not contact her there and then to let her know, they apprehended the assailant and also to ask her if she wanted to be one of the women to come into the court to say something. It just didnโt make sense with the type of police officers and investigators that they are.
Other than that, as I said, this was an excellent show and it really had an impact on how law enforcement agencies need to handle rape allegations. As I watched the first episode with my wife, who was just like, why arenโt they doing this? Why arenโt they doing that you could tell that she was in bad shape so a total miscarriage of justice and these offices I believe shouldโve had some type of consequence. And maybe not if there was no training whatsoever, and these officers were just kind of thrown into this scenario.
