I am a fan of the animated series, so my expectations were high for Netflix’s adaptation of it. Not happy with how it turned out. If they continue with how they adapted it, then don’t bother making a season 2. It was rushed. I didn’t feel like the main three characters (team avatar) had developed a bond. They even took away certain characters personalities. Like sokka and Bumi personalities weren’t truly portrayed like how they were in the animated series. I didn’t like how they wrote Bumi being resentful of aang and sokka, no where nearly as the comic relief or jokester on the show as he should’ve been. Oh, and I couldn’t stand how they couldn’t even show Aang had learned water bending. Just DUMB! Just RUSHED. They did do a good job with casting only certain characters like fire lord Ozai and Aang, but that was pretty much it. A lot of these actors or actresses on the show were no names, which is fine, but their acting was mediocre. Overall I was disappointed with the live action series.
