Just finished watching the first episode and so far I'm not very impressed. The scenes are very slow and ponderous and most of the filmmaking seems clumsy. An example would be when they show you the Japanese NASA and the young female engineer is talking to the female astronaut, you have no context for the scene whatsoever and it's very oddly awkward for no apparent reason and then it just ends. The acting mostly just seems forced and the characters two-dimensional. Not a great start.

There are points where the film seems at least somewhat interesting. But overall it is a very slow, boring story. It just feels like the director had some kind of vision in his head but not a clue how to realize that vision.
