A great film.The story was well paced.A fitting tribute to the Irish who came to help Britain in the 2nd World War Lovely light humour thorough the film The films colouring reminded me of the 2/6 Ladybird books I had as a child The acting was superb.A great bunch of to me unknown actors who gave true performances with a wel written script. Watch this lovely movie you will not regret it

A lovely film. Not sure how true to Clarissa start in her career this story is .The film had some great CGI reconstructions of the potteries in their smoky past. The costumes were excellent Good use of the Gladstone pottery museum and Black country open air museum A very pleasant afternoon spent watching this charming film You won't be disappointed.

A Brilliant film Helen Mirrens make up is amazing What a wonderful lady Golda was.We couldn't help comparing her with Margaret Thatcher Ruling a country at war while having serious health problems. We enjoyed Henry Kissinger, another formidable politician of his time Good use of achieve film footage If you are interested in this period of history.Golda is good introduction I will be looking for a biography now to fill out the character of this amazing woman I .

Lovely not too taxing wet afternoon view Very loosely based on the fact, there really was a school in Bexhill on sea as depicted in the film. The 20 or so German fraulines pupils were amazingly all the same height!? Judith Dench was a great headmistress devoted to the girls Eddie Izzard played his part beautifully. Jim Broadbent was great in his small but vital part as a coach driver. Give this film a view. You won't be disappointed.

An absorbing evening spent watching this fictional story. It highlights the atrocities in the Spanish civil war 2 stories intertwined both very much of their time Great settings, costumes, cinematography and soundtrack. Well deserved awards for all concerned

I have taken 30yrs to pluck up the courage to watch this great homage to an amazing German wonderful brave and resourceful. As a young mum in the late 1960s I read books borrowed from my local public library written by those who ran some of cocentation/death camps, there excuses were that they were threatened by their supervisors.if they didn't carry out there superiors orders If you get the opportunity show it to the younger generation in your family.Watch it with them please Steven Spielberg did a great job 3 hrs of your and my time well sent Interesting to see the book the film is based on is it novel

This is very disappointing film Thank goodness it's not particularly long The actors do their best with a very thin story and dialogue If you have nothing else to watch . It's better than nothing. I would read avoid book instead.
