Marvel just doesn’t know where to go and it shows. A really boring exposition filled Ben and Jerry’s comercial with some really great, and some really terrible CGI sequences.
An uncompelling cast of antagonists, tertiary and secondary characters with no real motivation or background trying to work together.
Lucky for us the sponsor of this movie is Ben and Jerry’s, and they paid for two Deus Ex Machina’s that where jammed in last minute to neatly tie a bow on this trilogy.
The plot takes too long to set up, and lacks heart from a lack of character or world building. With most of this movies plot being delivered though story book flash back exposition that is not quite cohesive.
Paul Rudd must hurt from holding the comedy of this movie up. The man could read a dictionary and make people laugh. Many say the acting is poor, to me it’s really more the dialogue provided is just clunky and all around poor at times .
At least much of the CGI was stunning, but there was a certain large headed villain that just never looked or feel right in any of these scenes. Unfortunately he is also the only character that gets anything resembling a character arch.
What was it that Scott said in the film, “Nothing about my life makes sense, so don’t think about it too hard” I think that sums it up well
