I’m not a Star Wars fan so going into the IMAX 3D in Melbourne I had low expectations from what I read online and “The last Jedi”
Straight away I was blasted into JJ Abrams vision and was blown away by the CGI visuals, speed if it all and attention to detail.
I easily found the story easy to pick up and understand throughout the full 2 hours. The plots were nicely intertwined and successfully concluded. 👍
I wasn’t bored at anyone time and didn’t yawn once. The acting was very good and didn’t think there was a weak link unlike Jar Jar Binks. They kept it real with the characters bouncing off each other. The script was sharp, human and I actual chuckled twice in the film. Issac oscars character bringing the Han Solo vibe that we loved so much from the originals.
Where I felt it fell short was that this could have been spilt into 2 films. There was a lot of content and it didn’t give me time to build a relationship with the characters. But saying that, other films don’t have the saga and history of this film.
Overall I really enjoyed this. Very cool.
But I didn’t care about the details as I’m not a “Hallelujah” Star Wars fan.
