Box is one of my favorite novelists, both his stand alone books and the Pickett series. This is a suspenseful tale from start to finish but it’s a bit gory which I find to be beneath him. He has successfully written many great suspense tales but this one is simply unpleasant. Just my opinion. I still highly recommend him.
